Packet 3 again??

 Share

My interview is on friday, today I recieved a letter from the embassy in London, and was suprised to find blank copies of all the packet three forms.

The covering letter said further to my enquiry (what enquiry?) to complete the enclosed forms and bring on the day of my interview

Has anyone else had this

Is there something wrong with my packet 3 forms?

If there was how come they scheduled an interview?

If there is something wrong I'll only make the same mistake again as I don't know what it is

I've got copies of the original forms I sent in anyway.... so I can copy them again instead.

What on earth are they playing at??

We called DOS, they said nothing is wrong and to fill them in again. So I did.... spent almost three hours last night staying up to get them all done.

Probably won't even need them, but we'll see tomorrow I guess

Were the expiration dates different or something?

I didn't check all the forms, but from what i could see the forms were identical, apart from the DS-156 and that was just because of the barcode

Maybe (hopefully) just an error. Take them all with you anyway - DoS probably don't really know what you were talking about. They are sometimes good and sometimes not so good.

Don't forget they're also basically screen readers - they can tell you what London has entered in on the system but they can't know specifics.

That said, the people at the London call centre don't know specifics either - as far as I know, they're all based in Glasgow anyway unless you get through to someone at the actual embassy. I can only assume this is why emailling them is better.

Anyway good luck tomorrow! You won't need it, and you don't need to be nervous (even though I was!).

David.

Excellent! Did you have to hand them in at the pre-interview stage?

Congrats though, I know how much a weight off your mind it is.

Go celebrate!!!

Yeah, I handed them in with all my other documents.

Woman went off to find them, and came back empty handed.

"Do you have the DS-156?'

So I gave her that.... and then she asked for all the rest too, haha

Its taken a while for it to sink in, but for sure i feel a lot better now.

I've started making a list of all my possessions to help when I start labeling boxes and filling out forms for shipping.

Our packet 3 was lost too. They scheduled our interview anyways and said to just bring the forms with us. We had already mailed a second packet 3 by that time though... Now the wait for the interview...

Congratulations to you!!!

Congrats to you!!!

That's really bad that they lost your documents but it also great that they don't delay you because of that!

I guess somewhere else, it would be problematic. London is an easier embassy to deal with! blush.gif
