I am so so sorry to hear this happened to you.

You have clearly got back the strength he took from you and I wish you well.

I hope someone can give you some advice. Are you the petitioner or the beneficiary?

Much love,

Helen

She's the petitioner, I remember her asking about this before. I want to say that you made a courageous decision. I'm so sorry for the situation, and sorry that I can't offer any advice.

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

We were in a similar situation a month ago - wanting to cancel our petition. Thankfully, we worked things out - it was just some drama on our side from stress - but we came very close to canceling it all :(

Our petition was already at the embassy. I was told to send (scan/email) a signed statement requesting the petition be withdrawn that included our CIS file number, NVC file number, petitioner's full name, beneficiary's full name, both of our dates of birth, and a brief statement explaining why we wanted the petition withdrawn. Like I said, we were able to turn things around before the petition was actually withdrawn - but in your case, if it's for sure that you want it withdrawn - contact NVC as soon as possible. They will probably have you send them a signed statement as well - but since most fiancee visa petitions are in and out of NVC in a matter of days - make sure it's still there. I called NVC too and they told me that since our petition was already at the embassy, they had nothing to do with it anymore. If that's your situation as well, you'll need to contact the embassy.

Good luck to you guys!

i don't have an answer for you but i just want to say i am sorry things work out this way for you.i think it's a very wise and courageous decision you are making. i don't know him so i'm not gonna condemn him but as for you maybe it is the best thing for you because you will never trust him and you r gonna be suspicious of every little thing he does. like if he's out late r not answer his phone etc. so you are sparing yourself a lot of stress and pain. that's just a part of life, i hope you will be able to forgive and move on with your life, all the best.

Your petition won't be at NVC long enough for you to do anything there.

You have the right to withdraw the petition anytime before the beneficiary uses the visa to enter the US. The INA doesn't give clear guidance how this should be done, but it's generally agreed that the withdrawal needs to be in writing. I would send a letter first to the USCIS service center that approved the petition notifying them that you want to withdraw your petition. I would send a copy of that letter to the US consulate where the petition is being forwarded to from the NVC. I would have both letters notarized. Be sure the letter mentions both the USCIS case number, as well as the Department of State case number assigned by the NVC.

I am sorry you have gone through all of this. I am glad you have decided to put a stop to it though. In order to stop the petition you ought to call NVC and explain that you want to stop the petition process. They would tell you how to proceed. I would imagine a letter would be needed to put a stop on the process. Take care and best wishes! (F)

Hey bbgirl keep ur head up ok , I thhink u r telling my life story right now, the same thing happen to me not long ago but hey , i decided to give him another chance after i called his phone at 2am and some girl pick up the phone , i though my world had just ended right there and then, i froze until now I'm dealing with it. I guess that's the price we pay for having a long distance relationship , but the only up side to this I focus more on myself and my studies instead of him. We used to be so close talking on the phone everyday 5-6 times a day now he's lucky if call once a week. we haven't seen each other in 2 years and i was planning to go to Haiti for his interview and all but now I couldn't care less if they give it to him or not, I had brought my ticket to go see him this month it's cancelled ... , I cant ever trust him again... if you ever need to talk holla ok
