Here is the one chance we can actually blame someone other than the US government for this lengthy process. Day 11 for our package sitting in customs in Guangzhou. The funny thing is I'm not that frustrated because we expected it.

On the other hand USCIS and DOS could come into this century and go to an electronic system and not have to rely on DHL. Whatever happened to the paperwork reduction act?

This is Day 10 of my case at NVC. I noticed yours sat for 20 days at NVC. Since yours is out of NVC now, do you mind telling me if NVC sent you an email or letter stating they forwarded your case to Guangzhou? In other words, did you get anything from NVC besides having to call them to find out?

This is Day 10 of my case at NVC. I noticed yours sat for 20 days at NVC. Since yours is out of NVC now, do you mind telling me if NVC sent you an email or letter stating they forwarded your case to Guangzhou? In other words, did you get anything from NVC besides having to call them to find out?

One month seems to be about typical for the "NVC to GUZ Consulate receive" step ... we tracked "our" package through DHL and even after it said it had cleared customs, it was another 10 days before GUZ actually indicated they had received it. We were called DOS everyday and checking. THey did not send and email or any notification. The only think you will get from the GUZ will be the P3 package to your Fiancee.

My guess is that you will have your Consulate Received date around June 17.

Thanks for the update! Congratulations!! You're one step closer to the finish line :)

I'll probably call NVC again next Monday or Tuesday to check on my status.

I'm hoping NVC's "additional processing" means taking time to scan my documents. My I-129F package was half-an-inch thick, so it may take longer to scan, and perhaps I'm just waiting inline to be scanned :D Since yours was scanned, I feel like I've moved up in the queue. Hope it's not just my wishful thinking :D
