Hi, still a newbie here. I received a text that my visa application was received. Is this the same as the NOA1?

I will be in France for two months visiting my fiance and am worried that the hardcopy will arrive in the mail in the US. My question is do you think an interview would happen that quickly (August) :) ? and if so, will I need a hardcopy of the NOA1 to bring to the interview?

Thanks.

NOA 1 is simply the notification that they recieved your application & fee. Nothing to worry about. You will now wait for NOA 2 which is the petition approval by USCIS. It then goes to NVC for processing & then forwarded to the embassy.

You are the USC so I dont know why you think you need to be interviewed. Your fiancee will be notified of the need for the P 3 docs. Those will be reviewed which result in P 4 or the notice of the interview date.

Yes you have nothing to worry about because unfortunately things usually don't go that fast. You have plenty of time before your fiance gets his interview scheduled.

Look at this link : http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow it will give you an idea of how long each step is going to take.

From now you have only thing to worry about is being patient. Good luck!
