Hi guys!

Will (USC) here. I've been reading VJ for a couple of weeks now and realize that, given our Consulate, we've got a fair share of red flags to sort out. Given that, it's likely to be a while until we file either our K-1 or CR1 so that we can sort that out. But we're both in it for the long haul and hope to navigate all of the intricacies with as little trouble as possible. I'll be posting some of those in the Vietnam specific forum in the hopes of some solid advice(though I think I've got a lot of it already). Just looking for some support that, no matter the hurdles/money/etc--it CAN be done, even through the toughest of consulates.

Wish us luck--and you're sure to hear from us over the next year or two(hope It's not 5 like some, but we are prepared for that)!

Hi Will,

Your off on the right foot by starting your research and recognizing that you may have potential red flags. Also sounds like your coming in with the right frame of mind and prepared for the waiting and patience game.

Wish you the best of luck along your journey. Visa Journey is a fantastic place for support, guidance and advice. I know it was invaluable for me. One thing to remember is that the decisions you make are ultimately yours so weigh your advices and do your research too.

Prepare - check - double check - take a break and check again. Be well organized and well prepared. Take time to collect, review and organize your documents and always be prepared.

Am I repeating myself - I think that gets the point across.

Anyway - welcome to the family and we wish you the best!!!!!!

Thanks folks!

There's nothing especially red in our flags, but for the journey through HCMC, I think--but that's gonna make it challenging. I'm just glad I found this resource now rather than after I just sent something in without proper perspective of what I'd need down the line. Shouldn't take TOO awful long to get these ducks in a row as best I can.

Organization......is something I'm going to have to put some serious work into.
