Hiya

don't worry too much, the IOs are aware that newlyweds filing for AOS may not have much in common assets. Especially for the intending immigrant may not even have a social security number that gives one benefits like utility bills etc.

It's good that you have a joint account and affidavits, especially from your dad acknowledging the living situation. See that you can get that authorization of each other's credit card in writing from your bank as an official statement, if possible on their letterhead. Did you guys have any vacation reservations, plane tickets, rental-car receipts? That can also be used as evidence. Also, if you sign up with Netflix, create a Costco or other club membership (like fitness club, frequent customer cards) can be used.

The most important document you already have - your marriage certificate :)

Again, don't worry, you are in the early stage of the AOS journey and initially it's ok to send a bare minimum. I sent a copy of an account statement and that I'm on my wife's health insurance as a beneficiary along with one group family picture at the wedding, nothing else. During the interview the IO asked for the originals of these two documents and I brought along some e-mail print out of airline reservations but she didn't need to see those.

Good luck on your AOS journey, let us know any questions, we're here to share our thoughts and experiences
