I'm not going to comment on the first part, tired of the games.

I'm not paranoid, she knows I used to have porn. I chose to delete it because it would be rather disrespectful for a married man to keep porn on his PC. You couldn't understand though because you've never looked at porn.

It would be rather disrespectful FOR YOU as a married man to keep porn on his PC. Let's make that distinction clear. Personally I don't find anything wrong with a married man keeping porn on his PC, or even streaming it on his iPhone/iPad/Android/etc, as long as everyone's comfortable with that. Nor is there anything wrong with a married woman doing the same, in my view.

Note -- in my view.

There's no proof that the porn was his or that he viewed it. Even if it was, it means very little.

On the bolded, you really need to stop taking offence at every little thing - grow a bloody backbone! Most of the time these things arise out of your inability to comprehend what others write.

I didnt take offence. So you are going to try and defend him.

Next time you're going to post a NSFW picture, please say so. The filters at work have identified that image as obscene or tasteless. I think that is a fairly accurate description of YOU posting it here. Thanks for the meeting I will get as a result of this. D1ck.

I don't get the meaning of Saddle Bronc's post - he likes to throw out random snippets of history, regardless of whether or not they fit in with the conversation.

Put it this way - when anyone talks to you: "yes" and "no" mean the same thing.

Indeed. His perspective which he has an absolute right to have and execute on his pc. Not everyone elses.' It shouldn't come as a shock coming from someone that frequently makes reading gaffe after reading gaffe and carries on drawing big pictures from the same.

Nothing to defend per se. You went off on a comment made in general manner as a comment about you. Get over it.

Occasionally they are useful. I put my now near-encyclopaedic knowledge of Canadian airports and their customs and excise procedures down to careful study of his posts over the years.

Hopefully he'll be back to elaborate. Usually though he's a "one post and he's gone" type of poster.

Yes Simpson finds it to be disrespectful. Is that the clarity you needed to get a good nights sleep?

"I chose to delete it because it would be rather disrespectful for a married man to keep porn on his PC."

vs

"I chose to delete it because I think it would be rather disrespectful for me, as a married man to keep porn on his PC because I feel married men should not have porn on their PC and its my opinion."

Two different comments.

I think the big picture we can all paint now is that Simpson is always trying to say something we should all 'just get.' Why can't the words just come out the way they're supposed to? :(

You know, this is a message board and not a courtroom. I knew Simpson was speaking for his values. I may not agree with him, but that was always clear to me.

I get the feeling you want to pick on Simpson just because. I get it, I do. He's fun to wind up.

I strive for clarity in my posts, even the snarkiest ones. I know that some do not achieve that, either through laziness, sloppiness, haste, alacrity to post or a desire to imbue their musings-cum-attacks with what they hope is veiled meaning, but I like to be clear.star_smile.gif

I wish he'd just say things the way they are supposed to be said. That's what language is for. :(

Maybe in the future I will have to have a Simpson Contextualizer in order to translate what he's trying to say... but really can't get out there.

AJ, it was not clear to me. Perhaps it's the lawyer in me that is picking on this ambiguity.

Maybe you could hold a seminar on the proper use of the language and teach Simpson how it's done.

In the meanwhile, he can continue communicating in grunts and sign language like he is now. I seem to have no trouble at all understanding him.

Perhaps. Take the lawyer hat off and put on a Yankees cap.
