Hi Guys, just came across this site and well done to all contributors for making it a wonderful source of information.

Just need some reassurance really. After all the hassle of getting the forms and documents together I finally got them all sent off which was a major relief as I'm sure most of you guys know all about.

Here's my question....I filed all my documents and received a NOA hard copy. The check for the I130 was cashed two weeks ago but the I485 check hasn't been cash yet. From what I've been reading people's checks usually are cashed at the same time. Any help would be appreciated

Tell us how much the checks were for and we can help. I could make a list of common mistakes, but it seems faster just to get the information first.

Okay, the amounts are correct. Therefore, either there is some strange lag in their system, or your I-485 package was incomplete in some way and they sent it back to you to amend. Nothing to do but wait, though you can scratch the possibility off of the list that you paid the wrong amounts. You didn't include anything for I-765, right?

But there was no money with it right? I-765 is free when included with I-485.

I will guess that maybe there was a signature in the wrong place or something - but we can't know until we know... Let us know what it turns out to be and good luck!

Yeah there was no fee included with the i765. I double, triple and quadruple checked everything three or four times and I assumed everything was in order. Just a matter of waiting I guess. Thank you so much for your help. I'll keep my application up to date on here :)
