This formthe original poster, I just contacted USCIS about this issue. They said that every year they update the I-129f form and is given a new revision date. If the paperwork is sent after the date has expired they will make you send in a new one. The people on here that have lots of purple Hearts and stars under ther name can give you false information.

Thanks for looking into this. As for what others say; everyone is just giving the best information that they can given their circumstances. I understand in using VJ that this is by no means legal or 100% accurate advice. I appreciate what everyone contributes.

I checked the version of the I-129f that I filled out and it says that it expires in 02/29/2012 so I should be fine.

Nobody has given any false information. Of course the form has to be the most updated version, but the date of the signature still will not matter.

Hahaha! Whatever dude. LOL

First of all, I'm not a dude.

Second of all, I suggest you read the replies this thread has gotten. The responses you've flagged as "incorrect" are actually correct.

The OP's forms are up to date, so AS PEOPLE SAID, the signatures being a few months old will not be an issue.

Relax.

Maybe I read this wrong after watching all the fighting. But, does'nt it say on the FIRST OP. That he admits not having everything neccesary to submit a True and Complete 129-F. He states there are Criminal Matters that need to be addressed that should be included in the 129-F. Birth Certs. Also. Again, I may have read it wrong but, I think he's saying his Application is Incomplete. As far as the Signatures, April 2011 is fine. Don't get me in this Fight. I'm always in trouble.

OP here

I actually do have everything necessary for the I-129F. It is the paperwork for the interview that I am having a hard time with. The birth certs and criminal record stuff is for my fiance (the beneficiary).

Thanks

You're completely out of line and I've reported your post. Hopefully in the future you'll deal with people in a more civilized way.

 Agree and thank you!

Thanks for all your quick replies. Paperwork is a pain in the butt here (plus he was born in Ivory Coast so getting that birth certificate right now is proving a bit difficult) and we've got some other complicated documents.

We're working on it all and should send it in soon. I just like to be prepared. Plus I am living here in Mali with him so it's not like we need to get it done quickly to be together. I'm happy taking our time.

Thanks again. As usual, VJ is a wealth of information

Just noticed you mentioned living in Mali. Maybe the K-1 is not what you need/want. Are you planning on staying there? or coming back to the US, marry and stay here??

I vote you send the documents in as soon as possible. In turn you will have over half a year wait for a interview and they revise the forms online very often. Sending a document in after the revision has come out because you wait 3 or 4 months to be ready will only cause more and more delays as you will have to send everything again with new signatures on the new documents.
