To make a long story short I was approved today after my Congressional Liaison got involved.

I had RFE because of a passport photo. I helped a friend do his I-130 in January with the same type of photo

I shot from my camera. He was approved Monday. I voiced my displeasure and frustration to my

representitive and at 500pm I saw an email from USCIS............. Approved mine was 154 days.

My wifes Birthday is the 14th so this is a nice surprise....

I wish we would have some luck. We have gone over the five months. Contacted Senator, his assistant said they would send an inquiry. That was last week. This week called and put in a service request and got an e-mail today saying they were working on background checks and we could not make another inquiry for 180 days.

I am just sick.

I know the feeling I had it all day.. I had my Senator's aide give the same line you got.. I contacted my congressman and seemed to get more done.. It's frustrating and quite sad.. I was writing a letter that I was going to send to The Stranger, and MSNBC hosts about immigration reform..

Marjus's girl,

Actually my first NOA1 was on 11/15/10 for I-130 and then I filed I-129 and got NOA1 date of 12/02/10. I take it you still haven't heard anything.

It is is so hard, but thank you for your reply. At least I am not alone in the boat.

Congrats to the Topic Starter. I am so proud that the congressman help you. There are some good ones out there.

And Marjus's girl, we were married October 16, 2010.

Inquiry only means another service request.. You can call as much as you want to USCIS.. Always ask for Tier 2 officer.. They have always been sympathetic to me..

Try contacting the congressman that represents your district.. I know it's frustrating watching others approved that are like 60 days later priority date then yours..
