please does anyone know the validation period for the police clerance in nigeria. my husband had his police clerance done on 2/11/11 and his interview is schedule for 6/10/11 will he need another clearance, please anybody help with usefull information. thanks

Police certificates are valid for one year from the date they are issued. Embassies and Consulates have the discretion of asking for a certificate that was issued 6 months prior to the date of the interview.

I believe it is only valid for three months so he will have to get another one....my thoughts to you is not to go to the Lagos embassy with expired documents....good luck

You don't need another one. Docs sent to NVC are valid during the interview.

I would get a new police certificate, my husband's interview is also in June and we got his certificate in February, but he will be applying for a new one for the interview. I would advice you to be cautious, you wouldnt want them to give you grief over the police certificate.

Like its said.The Police certificate is Valid for three months and i dont think such can be used again its expired.Logically,he wld needing to show his status is still clean.

The cost of acquiring one is btw 2k - 5k and obtainable in a hours depending on bargaining power.

Save the embarrasement by going for another just weeks b4 the interview
