Hi Guys!! Jenie Bee will arrive August 13th! So excited! Ok, I have been breezing over my newly started AOS file, I have Jen bringing several true copies of her birth certificate as well as medical vaccination records (they did give her 2 vaccinations at her medical exam). My question is: can you think of any other documents that would be helpful to gather before she runs off to POE? Although the AOS is a little more complex, my thinking is: after we have gone "down the road" with the K-1 this AOS will not be difficult, well, ok, it will be difficult writing that big fat check to stuff in the packet!

So this is totally what I was thinking too. I told Mr. Loxy the most important thing to do is see if they will accept COPIES of his birth certificate at K-1 interview, so he can have the original ready for AOS. We have copies of medical and police records just in case. I'd say definitely NOA2 and maybe even appointment letter for interview though I doubt you'll need it. If she has all of the AOS shots done already, definitely the shot records...

Dizzy-- I love your AOS list. I TOTALLY forgot about the Social Security Number application! Thank God for the Decemberites :) lol

Haha woohoo!

Don't forget!

SS-5

Social Security Card can be filed approximately 10-12 days after POE! Some states require a Social Security number to apply for your marriage license. So be ready to get your application on :)

Trust me, we ask a lot of repetitive or kind of dumb questions. This thread at least lets us cheer each other on and learn from each other without judgement.

Haha! So true! :) And then Mari gets out her slipper...

So happy for ya, Dizz! :) Too cool! :) I think we're probably going to end up with an October wedding too...

fall weddings are the BEST. I'm soooo looking forward to mine. Don't think my English in-laws could handle the Florida Summer heat :o

Been here in the US for 2 weeks. Wedding is in a month. Sigh... Just thinking about the AOS papers and that paycheck! My gosh, I looked for civil surgeons and they are so expensive. Must site more doctors. Hope everyone is doing well on their journey! Other Decemberites who have started their AOS, hope you can give some tips here.

Hope everyone is doing great!
