Is too much Info a No-No?

My fiancee spent about a year and a half in South Korea on a tourist visa and stayed with her aunt. During most of that that time, she was employed at a Kindergarten teaching English to students. I was going to include that as part of her job history on the I-129F. But she expressed concern because she wasn't supposed to be working on a tourist visa. Could this be a problem (especially at the embassy interview) because she was employed illegally? Could this bit of honesty on the I-129F sabotage our efforts?

I'm just not sure what her working has to do with your relationship? Couldn't you just show that you were both in the same country at the same time, maybe a letter from her aunt outlining the relationship?

you will probably get questions omitting the information. why was she there so long, what was she doing? etc, etc, why was it left out? how did she work on a tourist visa? where was the visa issued from? did she overstay the visa? If she was not supposed to be working on a tourist visa, why was she? you will get questions, just answer them. It is hard to say what the best answer is. either way you will end up with questions. The biggest question to answer was this a US Visa or not? Also why was the work done? when asked directly, you will have to answer honestly at the embassy interview. then there will be the questions on why not in the G-325a work history. the bigger concern is looking at a persons history in the fiance process.

The US doesn't care about her work status in S. Korea. She will need to obtain the police clearance from there.
