Another quick question - my last includes the letter ń (polish characters) - when I was filing the forms, without giving it too much thought I replaced it simply with n - but now (since I am about to send all the documents to my fiancee) I start to think whether it may end up being a problem. My birth certificate has ń, as my parents name there does. Can someone help ?

I am German and my name contains "ä". I replaced this with a plain "a" on all paperwork, which is actually incorrect, because it should be transliterated as "ae". I hate the looks of that though, which is why I went with the "a". It never created any problems, despite my name being spelled with the "ä" or "ae" on many documents I had to supply like my passport, birth certificate, etc. By now I have a green card, drivers license and all my personal information here in the US with the "a" spelling.

Thanks a lot - would much rather stay with just n.
