We recently received an RFE due to having omitted evidence that my fiancee was free to get married. This was sent back to Vermont Service Centre a week ago. Does anyone have any idea how long it will now take to get a decision. Many thanks for any advice.

Look at the bright side, they are actually looking at your petition now.

I didnt get an RFE so I'm not speaking from experience but I've read alot of threads where people said they had a decision a few weeks after their RFE.

Good luck!

Hi I'm asking the same question, they have reviewing our RFE response for 1 week now, and still nothing from them.

I saw some couples that got approved not too long after they sent their RFE response, but just wanted to post what I'm worried about.

Thank you.

From viewing timelines here, it would appear that many people receive thier NOA2 within a few weeks of receiving their RFEs. I would give it 2-3 weeks from the time you sent the additional information back to them. At least you know that your petition is on an adjucator's desk, and not lost in the shuffle somewhere! :)

I sent my RFE response back almost three weeks ago. I know it was signed for and received two days after I mailed it. However, it wasn't until last Monday that they "officially" confirmed receipt via e-mail. I'm not sure when I can expect approval - I thought by now - but nothing.

2-4 weeks seems to the the "norm".

Read the Guides and follow the Guides more closely in the future.....this is only the beginning of a long dance with USCIS; it don't stop here.
