It's impossible to be "non-cultural". The only way that would happen is if everyone died.

Naturally the differnt parts of the "Multi" would have their own.... but nationally speaking.

No? I suppose it takes listening. Odd concept, eh?

actaully I think Big Dog already pointed out that an Easter greeting was included in the Weekly address...

This is a time of year when people get together with family and friends to observe Passover and to celebrate Easter. It’s a chance to give thanks for our blessings and reaffirm our faith, while spending time with the people we love. We all know how important that is – especially in hard times. And that’s what a lot of people are facing these days.

not even a peep in his weekend address.

As I pointed out above, it didn't [escape the President's attention]. It just "escaped" Fox News.

Pretending a private breakfast amounts to sending greetings to a nation is laughable.

Again, Danno, the weekly address this last Saturday started as follows: "This is a time of year when people get together with family and friends to observe Passover and to celebrate Easter. It’s a chance to give thanks for our blessings and reaffirm our faith, while spending time with the people we love."

No mention of Easter, eh?

Wow - 42 words

Compare that to this:

As the new crescent moon ushers in Ramadan, the President extends his best wishes to Muslim communities in the United States and around the world.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/Ramadan-Kareem/

A 5 minute message about Ramadan and outreach to Muslims. (Not necessarily a bad message). Is there a similar message from this President or any President in modern history to Judeo/Christian Americans? This gaffe by the President and his staff is somewhat more tacky then giving the Queen of Endland an Ipod full of Obama Speeches.

why do you hate fox news? :hehe:

Hell, I hate Fox News and I'm a conservative. They couldn't care less about my holidays, so, if the President does, more power to him. I had to turn off Fox yesterday coz they couldn't do the news without interjecting Easter unto every other story. Thank God for CNN; I never thought I'd say that, but at least theyre not an arm of CBN like Fox seems to be.

Practice what you preach and don't knitpick the post, read and try to understand the entire context.

There is a big difference between 42 words and a 5 minute message. That is the point. That is the context of the post.

Should I make it more clear to you or do you now understand the point?

The thread says "no easter greeting". Now we established that there is one, you are going on about its length. I'm sure the Lord enjoy's brevity.

The thread title may be inaccurate, but the entire theme is not. There is the appearance that the President, his administration and others in Government seem to neglect or ignore some Christian ideas and concepts at varying times throughout the year. Just the other day Harry Reid neglected to include the words "under God" while saying the pledge of allegiance. I suppose that is to the delight of some, it is to the concern of others.

I do not know if The Lord enjoy's brevity or not, but I do know through scriptures that he does enjoy praise. There sometimes appears to be some lacking of praise from the current President imho.
