My honey was denied a tourist visa as well, it cost us over $1000 & many many hours...they didn't even look at the paperwork he brought. I have traveled there several times & I am also curious why you can't go there? It is very easy to get a visa to Nigeria. It usually takes me just 1-2 weeks to get it approved & the cost is about $130 total. What part is he in?

scared to fly but the bullet and deal with it

So you have never met?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I think you need to sloooow down.

Plan a few trips and then take it from there.

Hi,

You mentioned that u were denied a visitors visa twice before deciding to apply for the fiance visa. I am in the same situation; and I am worried because the two times I applied I did not mention my relationship with my fiance - instead I was invited by family. Do you think this will be a problem?

Thanks.

Nikkita

Welcome to VJ/ I agree with everyone's post. My fiance prior to us applying for fiance visa, and after we had met, tried to get a visitor's visa twice and was denied. I agree with the reasoning of above. Most Nigerians will not be granted a visitor's visa easily. You will need to meet in person, as suggested with the VJ members who replied, then you can apply for his fiance visa. VJ is a great source of information and support system for anyone who is thinking or applying for any kind of visa.

Good luck and please keep us posted.
