Hi,

I'm just wondering if anyone has been able to sign up for an interview in Montreal (whether it's 2 or 5 months from now)? Of course, there are still no interview dates available. Has this ever happened before? It's crazy!

I got one about 2 weeks ago for May 4th. I was persistent though...spent about an hour or so just refreshing over and over.

Hey Sherrybaby,

I have been obsessive about scheduling an interview as well. I've been at it since Thursday, spending hours upon hours and still nothing. It's really horrible. I just think if they are stopping interviews are Montreal for a while, they should at least allow the option to go to Vancouver. Oh well, I guess we continue to try and wait and wait and wait for something to happen.

Thanks for the reply and congrats on the interview date! GOOD LUCK!!

Yea I heard that it completely stopped again. It just really sucks for everyone who can't get an appointment. I feel lucky because I had an appointment scheduled but found out I was scheduled for surgery 5 days before my original interview date. Not really possible for me to get to Montreal when I am in the hospital recovering!

Hopefully it starts up again soon! They must be really busy at this time of year.

Have you tried calling them to book the appointment? They do have call lines to book appointments.

Yeah we tried calling CSC. They said that they cannot book us for an interview and that Montreal was booked all the way to the end of August. They didn't have an answer as to when they would open up appointments again. We've done everything. We tried emailing Montreal, multiple times over the past week and even email Vancouver to see if they could direct us as to what to do, but so far, nothing but automated messages.

Our 129 expires in July, and I know they extend it for 4 months, but who knows if we'll be able to get an interview by then. It's a bit worrisome, especially when they won't even speak to us or acknowledge what's going on.

Anyway, thanks for listening to my venting. LOL. At least it's nice to know that there are people that understand how we feel. :-)

As someone who is just starting and has hopes of getting through this in 6 months, hearing that August is booked and they have shut down the appointment taking is extremely discouraging. I hope it resolves itself and you get an interview soon.

Best of luck!

Good to know that they have picked up the pace on logging packet 3 and shipping packet 4, too bad it doesn't change the speed of getting an interview.

**UPDATE**

So I decided to call the Montreal scheduling number again this morning. The young lady on the phone told me again, the are booked to August, she still doesn't know when they will allow appointments to be booked again, but she can tell me that it'll probably be another 5-7 months before we might be able to get into the office for an interview.

Yeah, if you ask me, I think this process flawed in so many ways. We pay, we wait, we wait more, we wait even longer and then they tell us "sorry, no interview for you and we can't tell you when or if...but give us a call back sometime, maybe we'll know more then."

I'd like to scream!!!!

Please count yourselves lucky if you've gotten an interview and GOOD LUCK!!!

OMG! That is ridiculous. How are you supposed to make plans for a family of four with such uncertainties? I'm so discouraged now.

Don't be discouraged. It just might be issues with people who are waiting for dates for the K1. You are filing as a married couple right? I think they choose your date for you so they might have spots for that. You never know. stay positive.

We just received our NOA2 after a little over 5 months. It would be absolutely devastating to wait for an interview that long. i am hoping that once we are able to book there will be dates sooner than August. :(

Montreal seems to be the slowest embassy in the world. I wonder why that is.
