Hi,

I'm new to the forum. I have a question regarding removing the condition and hope any of you could give advice.

I have filed 1-751 form and was asked to take biometrics twice. The first time they sent me a letter saying they could not process my fingerprints so I have to retake it. Then I did it again and now I receive a letter saying both my fingerprints have been rejected and thus I have to provide additional evidence. Here I'm copying the paragraph below:

"Addtional evidence is required in order to continue processing the Form 1-751 petition. Please provide a letter issued by the local law enforcement agency where CPR has resided in the US indicating the individual has "no criminal record". The record search should include all other names that the CPR may have used in the past. A separate letter is required for each US law enforcement district where the CPR has resided during the previous 5 years."

My question is (1) what is procedure to get such letter?; (2) is the letter required only for the period I stayed in US? In other words, if I left US for a few years in the past 5 years, do I need to provide such letter covering those times?

Thank you!
