Hello all. The "passport type photos" that are required for me and my fiancee are specified as 2 inch X 2 inch (or 51 mm X 51 mm). I just received the photos from my fiancee in the Philippines which were taken at a Kodak facility that specializes in passport photos. Her photos are only 1 3/4 inches X 1 3/8 inches. They are exactly the size of the photo in MY passport, BUT they are not 2 x 2. I know that this is a "forum" and that "opinions" are abundant here, but I would like some feed back from someone with actual knowledge or experience on this matter. Will these work or not? Will they be rejected?

The point of a forum is to share your opinions.

There is no also need to put unnecessary quotations around words that are not quoted from a specific source.

it should be 2x2 photo.....same sittuation here bcoz the passport photo in phils is different from the passport photo in US.thats why change the first photo that your fiance sent you.Ask her to take a 2x2 picture.Thats what i did when our lawyer saw the photo that is not 2x2.this is exactly through my experience.gudlock

I also had my wife to tell the local passport photographer there in the Philippines to make sure they were 2 X 2 pictures, I emailed my wife the specifications I got from State Department website that she took with her to have her pictures made. I copied and pasted the website URL below.

Quotations around random words just sound snarky and condescending. Hopefully someone's "opinion" gives you the answer you're looking for.

I'm not interested in maybes, I want certainities. Someone with first hand experience or knowledge can give me the information that will work. Just consider it my personal filtering system.

Well, in this process, you'll mostly get maybes. What works for some people doesn't work for everyone. What one person got an RFE for, another person didn't. Hopefully everything works out for you.

I submitted the smaller pictures sent by my fiancee from the Philippines to USCIS. No RFE. However, I made sure she got the 2x2 for the medical exam.
