Fianlly we have received our NOA2, and we are at a point that we are trying to schedule a interview at the Manila Embassy for interview. My question is I have tried both the online service, and the phone service but can not complete. The reason is both require a DS-160 form that has a CEAC number on it. I have had a service helping me up to this point, and they tell me that a K-1 is exempt from this form. But with out it, I can not get anywhere. Many of the phone numbers to the embassy have changed and no longer good, even the one provided on the letter I received from the NVC. Sounds like all this change over is causing problems. Suggestions?

DS-160 form does not apply for K-1

Go to the website http://www.ustraveld...ppointment.html and click K1 visa appointment scheduling

You need:

1) Passport info of your fiancee

2) Manila Case Number

3) Date of payment of the Visa Fee (if paid after 2pm Manila time, use the next day's date)

4) to create a password that has at least one caps, one non-caps, one special character (@#$%^&*) and one numerical

If you are successful, do not forget to print your appointment letter which contains a UID number.

If this doesn't work, ask your fiancee to call (02) 982-5555, (02) 902-8930, this is free if calls come from Manila, long distance rate applies for calls from Philippine province, call center hours are 6AM to 10PM Monday to Friday, I suggest to call during early morning or after office hours in the afternoon.

US caller can call for a fee at (214) 571-160.

Manila Embassy does not give packet 3 in the mail, just a notification but I heard that not everyone receives a notification, so you and your fiancee should prepare these documents: http://photos.state....3__rtf2_001.pdf

Manila Embassy Consular Services will be close from March 4-8, 2011, they will be moving to a new building within the embassy compound... I do not think that this will affect appointment scheduling though.

Lastly, Pls. fill-up a timeline, it will really help people here when they want to estimate their own timeline.

I haven't had my interview yet so I don't really know, although visa journey suggest that she should bring a copy. My fiancee hired a lawyer (not that i really trust lawyers and confident that they know what they are doing), and the lawyer is sending me everything....

Please let me know when you successfully scheduled for an interview. Goodluck!
