Has Your Relative ever been under Immigation Proceedings (I-130)?

I never thought I would have to deal with this again. My mom and I were denied entry to the US at the immigration when we came here on a Visit Visa back in 1997, and were sent back the very night. My whole family came to the US in 2003 on G4 visa and I have been here legally ever since. I am going to apply for AOS in a week and I came across this question while filling up I-130.

What do I say ? NO or YES ? If YES, which box do I check mark.

If it was a simple denial of entry (anything writtn into your passport?) then you would answer no

I was denied entry and checked NO for this question

Good luck

It was such a long time ago, I have a different passport now. We were simply denied entry 14 years ago and that was it. I will say NO as well. Thank you.

I 've moved this topic from AOS from a Family Visa to AOS from Work, Student & Tourist visa as OP is adjusting from an F1 status

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
