Is "Metro Manila" considered a province? My fiancee lives in Caloocan City (North). Should I put "Metro Manila" in the box marked 'Province' on the I-129F and G-325A and any other forms that I may have to complete. I mean, I'm assuming that I put Caloocan City in the 'city' box. Or is the province box just left blank?

Thanks.

Yep Manila is also a province.

I would put down Manila as province.

Similar in China, Beijing is the capital city as well as a province.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Metro ManilaManila, is the capital of the Philippines and one of the cities that make up the greater metropolitan area

A metropolitan area is a large population center consisting of a large metropolis and its adjacent zone of influence, or of more than one closely adjoining neighboring central cities and their zone of influence. One or more large cities may serve as its hub or hubs, and the metropolitan area is normally named after either the largest or most important central city within it.

Caloocan City is the northernmost territory of Metro Manila and not a province, one of the cities and municipalities that comprises the National Capital Region of Metro Manila in the Republic of the Philippines

City - Caloocan City

Region - National Capital Region

Province - None (Formerly part of Rizal province until 1975).

The City borders many other cities such as Quezon City, Manila, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela and San Jose Del Monte Bulacan in the north. During the formation of Rizal Province, Caloocan was included in its matrix until 1975.

We had a problem similar to yours when we were filling out our forms. Davao City has no province so in all the forms I typed "none" and included this as part of our cover letter:

Please also note that Davao City is also one of several cities in the Philippines that are independent of any province. Any box with State/Province that pertains to this city was answered “NONE”.

Hope this helps. :)

Caloocan City is the northernmost territory of Metro Manila and not a province, one of the cities and municipalities that comprises the National Capital Region of Metro Manila in the Republic of the Philippines

So there's a lot of information there. But I asked if Metro Manila should be listed in the Province box on the form. I know that Caloocan City isn't a province.
