US Military Married to Canadian on F-1

Hello all,

I am working on the paper work for my wife who is a Canadian Citizen on a Student Visa. We met last summer and she moved in with me to go to school. We kind of used this to see if it would work out. Well it did, and now i have some concerns with the paperwork. I feel like this could have some complications as far as her intentions moving to the states.

Just wondering if anyone has some advice for this situation? Also anybody military have and advice on things that might be different then the norm for me when filling out the paperwork? Also for military what did you put as address/ workplace/ profession stuff on the G-325A.

Not a K-3 topic. Note K-3 is essentially dead anyway, NVC kills it and proceeds on with CR-1 spouse visa when they receive both I-130 and I-129F together from USCIS.

If the student visa holder is still in the USA studying, you can marry and adjust status...

Moving this to AOS from STUDENT/Work/Tourist...

See this guide.. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?autocom=custom&page=i130guide2

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

don't know much about the military spouse "actions" and paperwork parts, can't help you on that one, but as far as a student getting married in the US, no problem, no worries. You will file for AOS, the whole package and so will get permanent residency aka green card for your wife.

I'm a former F-1 myself and finalized, they adjusted my status successfully earlier this month.

Post any questions and we'll help you guys with any questions you have.

Good luck on your adjustment journey :)

p.s. you guys moving in together pretty early is even a good evidence for the bona fide marriage proof, sharing a place, maybe you even have her on the lease or some written agreement?
