My fiance had his interview on the 18th and we were given AP as well (he's from Jordan). We have been told to be patient and that it could take few weeks to few months...I'm sure others that have AP from Morocco will also chime in and be able to offer more information. Good luck to you two and just know that you are not alone!

hello VJs

i got to my interview and the co got me AP i just want to know how much time i have to wait to get a call from a us consulate

please help

Did you get a 221g refusal? My husband got that and I called my congressman thatday. He sent a high priority congressional inquiry thatday. The only benefit was I was able to get the diplomatic pouch number for tracking puposes. Did you call the consulate and send emails. you want to keep our case there if possible. I cannot give ou advise without knowing what happened. Make a detail account of everything that happened that day for review. You need to find out what happened exactly to refute the AP.

Sorr to hear of this. Hang in there!

The length of the AP will depend on your specific case in that specific consulate.

It is specific to the consulate, but the petitioner has a right to find out details of the AP and must act on their rights under the Freedom of Information Act that is in place.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I'm not sure what the difference is between AP and AR. But like one person said, try to keep it in Casablanca for a second interview. I wish you the best of luck........

hopefully yours will go smoothly!!! B-) . I know its length is determined by consulate. For us, they informed him in his packet 3 how long the wait can be (6 weeks to 6 months...hopefully). They told us a minimum of 6 weeks. So we waited and after the 6 weeks mark, I regularly emailed and contacted them every week. Then for a total of 69 days after our interview, we got the email from the consulate that his AP was over! My advice, do not be afraid to email them and be patient. We were anxious like crazy psychos after 8 weeks!! Good luck to you!!!!

This is always an interesting topic (AP) I just have one question, you asked the OP if they got a 221g refusal. When one gets put into AP, is this the general process, getting a 221g along with the "your in AP"?

Thank you in advance!

My husband was in AP for 6 mo. Every case is different. At the interview the CO handed him a 221g but said not to worry we will call you in 2 months to come back for your visa. They did call him back 2 months later but it was for the K3 visa which I had asked to be cancelled because his CR1 interview was ready. His CR1 interview was June 2007 and he got the visa Dec 2007.

It is probably a Security Check, unless there is a 221(g) issued with a specific code on it.
