It would be uncommon but more likely the Vermont Center to be faster lately. It doesn't really matter. You don't get to choose your service center.

Me and another VJ member, JGen. We filed the same time and got our noa2s in a month.. We were both VSC, and we both filed pretty much the same day and got our noa1s and noa2s days apart. We filed an informal expedite request, because he was in the military and was leaving for training september-december (we filed june) and in the request we asked if we could expedite to finish everything by september because after that he cannot receive mail or be in contact for 3 months (ranger school) and we called up to ask if the expedite was granted they said no... but three weeks later we got the noa2 anyway.. and then we realized we could not do interview till he came back from training because i would have absolutely no affidavit of support to present and we were scared for a denial. so i waited till he finished to do the interview (last december) and we got approved.

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thank you, VJ! smile.png
