The feeling was surreal. Like there were butterflies in my stomach! :) You know how it is like in the movies, when everything and everyone else becomes a blur and time seems to be in slow motion as you slowly approach each other..? That's how it feels like! :D

I know how excited you must be. Good luck and have fun tomorrow! Update us :)

We met at Cebu airport after 6 year internet courtship. She turned out not to be a girl but was a man. i was angry.

Well i was just kidding. it was fine but she was affrai of pda. i know its a cultural thing. for me strangers views are unimportant. i could care less what people think of me who dont know me. i regret not making a big scene just to embarass her. but i behaved. she was very well dressed a nd pretty. i was dead tired from a 30 hour journey and wearing shorts and feeling grubby. it was fine though. it took about 30 minutes to start knowing her in person. we were engaged 7 days later. i wouldnt say it wasnt unforgettable. but that first contact wasnt as memorable as i would have prefered. it was honestly burdened greatly by my three 50- pound bags of luggage which within 2 minutes of meeting her i was carrying all at once up two flights of stairs to the taxi stand. that airport needs a redesign. during the taxi ride we became less formal. aided in part by her sister who gave us privacy by sitting in the front seat.

u really cant explain how exactly u feel,happy,doubt,unbelievable!surprised that u thought things can only see in a movie hehehe!the first time i saw him i just keep smiling but my knee was shaking a little bit lol,so shy..and we promise we would kiss each other,but didn't happened lol i only knew from the time i saw his face i felt that i knew him for very long time as if we've been together before,and filipina usually shy to be a public attention,so it's always as usual for the first time to have formality introduction,but mike didnt introduced himself,he just grab my hand which was sweating from nervous lol,as if i felt that time weather on philippines has been in highest degree lol... but one thing for sure i felt was....SO HAPPY,i was the happiest nervous girl in earth! We met at Gare du Nord (The North Train Station) in Paris. I had flown in on a 6 a.m arrival and got to the station in 30 minutes. I waited and waited and waited as the train she was coming in on was late. When she finally got off, I suppose it was one of the most wonderful moments in my life. Though I think both of us would profess it was a little awkward at first. Its a little hard going from internet to a couple immediately. But a little patience was needed and we did great. That week in Paris probably is the sweetest moment in my life so far and I would not trade it for the world. But then, Paris is definitely a romantic city.

Wow that is cool question....

When I arrived at the airport and entered this big bright room for custom check-in there was no one around but the ones who got off the plane, so the entire time I am wondering "can he see me?" Later, I found out outside visitors couldn't come into the airport at all, but either way he said he saw me and knew it was me.

Anyways, when I saw him for the first time I laughed, I don't know why maybe because I was nervous or it felt like we already met (besides the net). After the first kiss and he taking my hand, it felt good to finally be in that comfort zone by having reassurance everything will be fine. From the first time I was introduced to him online to the last day I spent with him, I knew he is the one I dreamed of all my life and never in a million years I would have thought I would find the 'one' over the internet in another country at that!

First time we met was in Jakarta airport. It was 6 months after we talked online. He came on January 2010. He should came on December 2010 but he missed the flight.

On the day of his arrival, i came hours earlier. It took so long for him to come out. All of the passangers whose the same flight with him already left the waiting room area. I was almost gave up. I said, i think he lied and missed the flight again, so i just almost backed home until minutes later he showed up. I was shy, nervous, and happy. He's tall and big while am short and tiny. He said he had to take care of Visa On Arrival first so that he's a little bit late from the normal passangers.

Okay, after spending few months or years seeing him/her only on your computer screen and by time he/she flew half way across the world just to meet you, how does it feels like,really? How was it seeing him/her for the first time at the airport?

I'm so thrilled, or if theres another term of excited in an intense way I think that would best describe what I am feeling right now. Thought this things only happens on TV but dude he proved me wrong.. I'll be able to see him tomorrow (flesh to flesh). Wow! (L) (L) (L):dance:

The very first time we meet in person after 3 yrs. of everyday chatting was VERY FUNNY and SAD.CURIOS. and EXCITING. It was a combination of all these. AFter all it ended up a happy ending. Why???

CURIOS: : :huh::huh::huh:

Coz there were sooo many questions i have in my mind?

1. Does he look like what he looked like on cam? and in person?

2.Is he huge? how tall is he? how fat is he? (lol)

3. Will he really like me still after seing me in person? I may be just butiful on cam and not in person?

4.Is he coming here just to see ONLY ME? or he will be seing someone else???

SAD :crying: :crying: and VERY FUNNY: :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Because i was'nt able to see him when he got off the plane. I saw one guy that looked EXACTLY like him and wear exactly the same what he told me he was wearing.

That guy that looked like him was greeted by another woman and they were kissing in front of me and it hurts me so bad and i had this question in my mind right there and then-how could he do this to me????

I did'nt see him nor he saw me( I'm short) so i called the hotel where we're supposed to stay and the line was busy i can't contact.I got soo sad.

In short my chaperon(my aunt) told me to go back to the airport and check one more time..then that was the time i saw him. HE was all over the place looking for me too (Lol)

The first time we held each other's hand he told me that I am the ONE.

EXCITING; :wow::wow::wow:

After talking to him everyday for 3 yrs. everything was just a confirmation after meeting in person. . We knew each other's moods, likes, fav food, etc. etc. Our first night was unforgettable . ..if u know what I mean. The rest is history and now is still happilly married going to 4 yrs in 2 months and still going strong. : :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

The feeling is excellent, you land at the manila airport (or at least I did) of course lost and not knowing where to go, no one tells you to walk across the busy taxi way down the steps ! Took a while on that one, then at the bottom of course im looking for her, but everyone is almost the same height and all the same color hair . I'm super afraid, thinking what if she didn't show up? I wouldn't know what to do, but i trusted that she would be there and she was ! Finally i found her

I must admit my first week there is a shock its hard to adjust and things arent the same , was almost robbed day 1 there with someone cutting bags on the jeepney. Its just not things I was used to at home

After a while there you get used to it and start to enjoy it, figuring out the CR and having no aircon , and super cold showers due to no hot water is difficult for westerners to say the least.

Its one of my most amazing memories seeing my wife to be for the first time

Yeah very similar, seeing her the very first time was kinda weird. NO PDA whatsoever, very different from what im used to, not even a little bit. even when i left to return home, she and her mother cried, but NO PDA.

But once we were in the cab it was very different, or if we were in an elevator alone or something. I told her america isnt like that and she explained the cultural thing to me.

but after a lukewarm confirmation meeting :) the trip was very memorable, her sister came with her to greet me and sat in the front seet as when we left for the hotel.

best trip i have taken in my life. love her more than she knows.

Husband stayed for 7 months in my city. Five of those were spent with me. We met online a few days before Christmas '06, and met in person a day before Christmas, my first reaction,"boy is cute" :blush:(L) . But he spent his Christmas with another girl which I knew and teased him about it. :lol: We went out the second, third time and made it official on the fourth. We're happily together for 4 years now and 4 months away from our 3rd anniversary. I still laugh and smile remembering the day we first met. And my husband, he's still as cute, caring, thoughtful and loving as 4 years ago. :luv:
