marriage interview for AOS

hi all,

I am an F1 visa and married to a US Citizen, we got married August 2010,,my husband and I had an interview today Feb 2011 in Chicago.The Immigration officer asked questions about our marriage and some basic question,but no decision yet, and why the officer took my EAD and I-94? I am nervous right now, and i hope that i will receive my green card soon. Any suggestion regarding my case i will really really appreciate it.Thaks

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

We had our interview today, and the officer took my I-94 and stamped my greencard on my passport. The officer said that she's taking it because now am legally in the US or something to that effect. So that should be a good sign. Be optimistic..:)Your green card will be in the mail soon...

06/24/10 – Checks cashed for I-130, 485, 765, 824

07/17/10 – Received hard copy of RFE 485

08/16/10 – Sent RFE response

08/19/10 – RFE delivered to NBC

01/06/11 - Received Interview Letter!! Yahoo!! Feb. 8 it is!!

01/08/11 - Interview Approved!Green Card Stamped on Passport!!

01/14/11 - Approval Notice I-130 & Welcome Letter!

01/18/11 - Received Green Card in the mail..

They took my husband's on the spot too even though he wasn't approved on the spot. (In his case it did not matter, he had an overstay so it didn't really matter.)

We got our approval a few weeks later anyway.

OUR TIMELINE

I am the USC, husband is adjusting from B2.

ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS

08.06.2010 - Sent off I-485
08.25.2010 - NOA hard copies received (x4), case status available online: 765, 131, 130.
10.15.2010 - RFE received: need 2 additional photos for AP.
10.18.2010 - RFE response sent certified mail
10.21.2010 - Service request placed for biometrics
10.25.2010 - RFE received per USCIS
10.26.2010 - Text/email received - AP approved!
10.28.2010 - Biometrics appointment received, dated 10/22 - set for 11/19 @ 3:00 PM
11.01.2010 - Successful biometrics walk-in @ 9:45 AM; EAD card sent for production text/email @ 2:47 PM! I-485 case status now available online.
11.04.2010 - Text/Email (2nd) - EAD card sent for production
11.08.2010 - Text/Email (3rd) - EAD approved
11.10.2010 - EAD received
12.11.2010 - Interview letter received - 01.13.11
01.13.2011 - Interview - no decision on the spot
01.24.2011 - Approved! Card production ordered!

REMOVAL OF CONDITIONS

11.02.2012 - Mailed I-751 packet to VSC

That generally means you are approved, because you have no need for them anymore (GC is coming).

If you were concerned at the interview, why didn't you ask "Why are you taking my EAD?"

That generally means you are approved, because you have no need for them anymore (GC is coming).

If you were concerned at the interview, why didn't you ask "Why are you taking my EAD?"

Thanks for the response,,, yah thats my mistake i forgot to ask the officer about that ;-) but anyway i checked my status in uscis.gov and it says

"On February 8, 2011, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, " MEANS? MY GREEN CARD? IM SO HAPPY!! THANKS FOR THE INFO

thanks,,,basically the officer asked us ( me & my husband) some basic question like

1. what is your name

2. birth of date

3. address

4. what is ur husband full name

5. when and where did u meet

6. describe the first meeting

7. are you both living together?

8.what did you study

9. and then the rest its all about the documents like joint accnt, health insurance, pictures and etc

9. when did you get married,

thats it my friend very basic question
