NOA1 February Fillers?

Hello VJers, I was just curious of somebody from February Filers got NOA1. I keep on checking the thread for February Filer but it seems that there's nobody responding there. How long does it usually take to have NOA1 and how will you know? I also signed up for USCIS site just in case we'll get the case number, but still trying to check the forum on what other ways we can track the updates. Any replies will be greatly appreciated

It will take 7-10 days to receive the paper copy of the NOA1 in the mail. If you have gotten correspondence from USCIS via Text/Email then you will not be able to check the case status using the case #. If you sent the application to a lockbox address and you used the form G-1145 then you would get notification once received. iF you did not use the G1145 form how did you pay? Did you use check..? If yes then you can check to see if the check was cleared/funds drafted. If no, then did you use a money order..? If it was issued by the USPS then you would have to pay a fee for them to research the money order to see if it was cashed and i think they will issue a refund if not cased - not good..!

Nice, very informative! Yes, we have G-1145 with the package and paid through personal check mailed to the Lockbox address. Oh, so we still have to wait for the mail before we can get the case number? How about for the e-mail or text notification is this also considered as NOA1 or just acknowledging that they received the package? Also, I think getting through the USCIS site we can also use the Receipt number, not sure though will this also be mailed together with the NOA1? Thanks so much, appreciate your response.

I sent my paperwork on February 3rd and also have not received the NOA-1 yet.

It will be nice to keep in touch with people that filed the same time as I did!

Oh sweet at least I'm not alone here.....that's quite a relief. I was also reading the January 2011 Filers it seems that some of them got there NOA1 within 3 days, I hope it's also gonna be that fast for us. We should really keep each other posted knowing we have the same timeline, it's hard to wait isn't it? like wondering everyday what happened to our "hardwork" paperwork, well I guess this is just the start for us

I totally can relate.. feels like ages.. waiting and waiting, checking if there's any update.. and yes, the start of a long visa journey.. a waiting the game that is worth the while.

I also read about people getting the noa1 the same day, though the usual is like 4 days. wheeew we should have it this week.

yeah so true the waiting gets better and better and it's crazy coz we just got started and we're already feeling this way... I'm really hoping it'll be this week, do you think they'll be giving us a case number already? I'd really like to check the status of our case in USCIS site (if we're able too) coz I think not all are lucky enough to track it online. Hopefully it'll get routed in VSC, I think they process K1 there faster nowadays.

i have goosebumps seeing you all here! its quite reassuring! we filed 1st of february and got a notification via text message just today. thats NOA1 right? it started with WAC...... does this also mean it has left Dallas already and been sorted to vermont or california? Thanks to all!!!

hi my_life, welcome! yeah, we're all in here together feels better when you're with other people waiting gives you more patience and hope. Did they already give you a case number? I think AJ&Nina already knew what Service Center there papers will be routed, not sure on this one though haven't got mine
