ok I am seriously curious about Sharia law mainly because I hear all sorts of insane stuff and then people saying the insane stuff isn't right. I took an Islamic philosophy class in undergrad thinking I would learn something about something, but the prof was so boring I actually fell asleep in class. he was one of those monotone people :dead:

Say goodbye to the British Bulldog. The Brits only hope now is the BNP imo.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Ya, monotonism is a big problem in Sharia law  One of my favorites, Khaled Abou El Fadl, is a fabulous writer on the subject, clear, concise and easy for a layperson to understand. But, he is an terrible public speaker.

The reason why you hear insane stuff is because most of the information sources enjoy reporting insane stuff that people who are not qualified in Sharia law spew. It must be difficult to understand what it's about when so many involved in it don't either. I spent a lot of years schooling jurists on the law. It was amazing how many judgments were rendered that didn't follow the correct methodologies at all.

You don't get around much, do you?

I get around plenty. I was last in London in 2009. How oft do you get about ? Not much eh ?

Same here.

My tight little ####### is headed back there in a few weeks.

I'll mail you a burka.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

I lived there for 12 years, last back 6 months ago. I think I know a little about living amongst a society supposedly suppressed by multiculturalism.

BTW, your comment on the BNP is just ignorant. Try reading up a little on what they actually stand for. I think Britain does a terrible job of making immigrants feel like they could become British upon naturalisation, but I don't think some of the self-segregation that exists there is good either. The majority of the British populace is extremely tolerant, and rightly rejects what the BNP is pushing for.

Well it's about time! The Americans have been picking up the slack for TOO long!

I'l say this for the Brits...Iv'e worked with Brits, Aussies, and South Africans (and a few Canucks) constructing mines here in Alaska...and I would take anyone of them as someone to watch my back. Those people are tough as nails, and they have more integrity than any other race/culture that I have come across. It's just plain sad to see what's happening in Britain.

Yes... the uk is just a small step away from BNP takeover. Did you know that it is the law here to shave your head and put on jackboots before you go to work?
