i-864 for i-485, tax question

oh,my goodness, i'm so sory if it's been discussed over and over, but i tried to look around and couldn't find anything of relevance, so here it goes:

my situation is as follows -

i am the beneficiary,my husband is a petitioner

i work, he doesn't (he is working on an awesome project, and my full-time job allows for his dedicating to the project 200%)

since 2009 we filed our taxes "married filig jointly"

we are intending on using "the intending immigrant's income" clause (it is just enough for the 125% of the household of 2 )

now we are filling out RFE for i-485, sponsor form (i-864).

question is, in that form everywhere i see "copy of petitioner sponsor's INDIVIDUAL tax return" , what should we do if we've been filing jointly for last 2 years?? i'm so confused, because i don't want to falsely represent anything, but i just want to make sure what i can and cannot do.

another question, just in case==> if i have my husband as sponsor, and his friend as a co-sponsor, so does this friend fills out his i-864 (since we don't live together) stating that he is my ONLY joint sponsor or my hubby and him are the two joint sponsorss????

THANK YOU MUCH IN ADVANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi!

I will use the intending immigrant income to meet the poverty guidelines, and I will includ both my husband and my taxe returns for the last three years. We did not file jointly in our first year of marriage as he lost his job that year. From your post I understand that you got an RFE for I-864. What did they ask you for? I guess what I am trying to ask is why they sent you an RFE if your income combined was over 125%.

Thanks!

PS. I read the end of your post and I saw that you don't live together and this is probably why you need a co-sponsor.

And moved to the AOS from Work, Student & Tourist Visa as the OP is also filing an I-130 so this is probably a better forum for her situation
