You mean like how you discredit every body of science who has unequivocally stated that GW is real and carbon emissions are a significant cause? If one is going to be discrediting sources, you'd think that's when logic and reason come into play. Bastardi discredits himself. One only has to look at the global mean temperature record to see the overall trend has been upward as far back as the data goes.

He may or may not be right about a 30 cooling trend. We'll know for sure in 30 years.

Asserting that global temperature will return to where it was in the 70's makes no sense. Mean global temperature is warmer by 0.6 degrees celcius since the 1970's. There is no 30 year period on record where the mean global temperature has fallen by that much. Doesn't make sense to use a historical model and ignore historical temperature data.
