There is fraud everywhere, I'm sure it happens a lot to VJ members. Not to many people are going to post if they got hooped!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I watched this program the other night. It was quite eye opening. didn't think we had those problems right here in Canada. When I arrive in USA I will have a conditional residency so have to apply for permanent in 2 years. I can't believe that husband who dumped her then collected welfare which she is responsible for!!!! Now he can't be sent back because he is a permanent resident of Canada. #######?????

I know so awful.....I guess this is the reason why so many of us waiting to be with the one's we love in the US is not such a simple process...it does confuse me though, that after watching some other Timelines on here, that other countries petitions are moving along really quickly, no offence anyone, but Canada and the US one's see to take longer,,or am I just seeing it that way because ours is taking so DARN long............

Could be because they are better staffed!! Mtl is probably not a hot spot where many Staff want to work at! One gets much better $$$$ working in other countries, which probably makes them more desirable!!
