If such an incident occurred (as told) there would be a police report (since a fictional police officer arrived at the fictional scene of the fictional crime).

Therefore, a police report would be available from the local department. There would probably be a very nominal fee involved.

I suppose that could be just the department where I work. They won't issue you a police report unless you are an involved party, issue a subpoena for the records, or discovery. It's really not hard to subpoena records though. Stand in line for 15 minutes at the courthouse to get the documents then drop it off.

ETA: That is the rule for police records during an active investigation or prosecution of a case.

Ask Gary to post a copy here on the forum. I'm sure he'll do it.

I'm guessing you don't trust many others either.

I can call at 2:00 AM and have the lonely dispatcher read it.

No you cannot issue one, but you can go to the courthouse and ask for one to be issued.
