Hi guys. I'm new here in VJ.

I filed the I130 for my Mom on the 12th of August and got a NOA dated on the 19th of August.

Then my case was transferred to Texas on Nov. 3, 2010.

So far I don't have any updates yet till now.

My problem is I'm giving birth this coming March, my first baby

and my Mom's first grandchild and I want her to be here even just on the time I deliver.

Do I need to call them or send any letter?

I hope you can help me guys. Thank you.

It's pretty hard to get an immigration visa in 7 months. There is nothing you can do. Women have babies without their mother with them all the time, so it's unlikely that you can get the case expedited for that reason.

Your mother is not going to be here by March.

Your mother case stills need to go through the following steps. The steps must be taken in order, you cannot skip a step and go to the next one before completing the prior step;

1. USCIS needs to approve the I-130. (USCIS is currently reviewing your mother's case.)

2. You need to pay the AOS (I-864) and IV (DS-230) fees.

3. You need to file the Affidavit of Support (I-864).

4. Your mother needs to file the Immigration Visa application (DS-230). (This can be done concurrently with step 3.)

5. After the I-864 and DS-230 are completed, the NVC will forward the documents to the US Embassy.

6. Your mother takes a medical exam by a doctor/hospital authorized by the US Embassy.

7. Your mother interviews for the visa.

There is absolutely no way to get all of that done in the next two months.

Sorry.

Welcome. You can call them to get more information regarding your case.. BETTER YET... you should call your senator come monday.. let the office know you need someone to help with your immigration needs. 6 has been 6 months and well outside the 5 months and probably outside the additional 30 days. Also call uscis and place an inquire as to the status of your case.
