Go to the interview and let them know about the situation with the hospital.

What will most likely happen if you are approved, they'll delay issuing your visa until they get your medical results.

If you want to be absolutely sure though, contact your Consulate, explain the situation and ask for advice.

Definitely go to the interview - if anything, they will give you a blue slip to return with the medical results = Especially in light of the potential DNA = that way if you do have to test, you will know that and can start working on that while you wait for the medical results

We were in the same predicament where we could not get our medical results before our interview. I emailed the embassy to seek advice (these are the instructions that are given on the website) and they told us to keep our date. It was a hassle because we had the interview 11/2, had the medical 11/10, the results were ready 11/25, and I emailed them on 11/18 seeking a new interview date which was scheduled for 1/21/110. You should probably follow the instructions and let them tell you how to proceed. Hope it all works out.
