Hi all,

Gathering all of my infomration to send off to Vermont and have a few last minute questions.

I'm using a soft-back 3 hole binder and have dividers for each area of the eveidence that I am listing; I also have a cover letter. On the large envelope that I am mailing, it looks like I'm suppose to have listed "RE: joint petion to remove conditions of status on: "Jane Doe" Do you all have this on the cover of your package? In addition, I have her full name and Alien number; should this be on the front of the envelope of the package that I am mailing, in addtion to the cover letter? Hope this makes sense.

Assembling package linke on USCIS website:

- On the USCIS website where it talks about assembling packages to send, it mentiones including the recipt number in addition to the alien number when applicable; wonder what the recipt number is; any idea?

-finally, Do ya'll reference any information on the letter that they sent, the "Notice of requirment to file joint petion to remove conditional basis of an alien's permanet resisdent status"? Did ya'll put this file number that is on this letter, in your cover letter? Did ya'll make a copy of the letter and include it in your package?

Appreciate any feedback!

It is really up to you. I did not write my alien number on the package envelope, but I did include a cover letter as it serves as a sort of checklist for you, reassuring that you are not missing anything. Something else that might be a good idea is to write you A# number in your check/money order

You don't have a receipt number yet. Receipt numbers are included in NOA1 (First notice they send you telling you that they have received your application, etc..) and NOA2 (Biometrics appointment) letters. For some reason the receipt numbers are different in both cases. The one you can use to track the status of your case is the on NOA2

I think threw that letter to garbage whistling.gif don't worry too much about it... I guess if you include it, it doesn't hurt. Do make sure to file no earlier than 90 days before your green card expires. If you file to early they will reject your application

I didn't add the number to the envelop, reason is that it is a personal number, just like my bank account number or social security number. You don't want strangers (besides the USCIS of course) to have this number as they can do a lot of things with it and you never know why may see it. My advice: don't put it on the envelop, only on the cover letter and check, and of course on the i751 and any supplemental letters you may or may not have (supplemental to the i751 form).

I kept the letter but did not send it to them. Fact of the matter is that they always said they would never send such notifications, and they actually never did before. You do not need to send this letter back to them, if they check your A number, they automatically see the expiration date, no worries, it's just a reminder to you, nothing more and nothing of value to your petition :)
