Changing font size on the USCIS pdf forms?

some of mine did not fit either. I abbreviated Ireland to ROI but just read a forum that advises not to do that at all! fill it out in neat black handwriting instead maybe

October 8th- Sent off K-1 visa package

October 21st- Received email saying we have been assigned to CSC

October 28th- Waiting on NOA1

October 29th- NOA1 received!!!

March 16th 2011- Received email saying petition for fiance has been approved and that NOA2 is in the mail!

April 12th 2011- Waiting on lettter with interview date from Dublin Embassy. Medical scheduled for 26th April

Some of my addresses and answers do not fit into the box - is there a way to change the font size? What do I do if I cannot fit it all in?

It the answers cannot fit and you there isnt an abbreviated form for the word then you could print the form with what you have and just fill it in with a black ink pen.

May 17 2013 - Interview-Approved

July 19 2013 - Enter the USA

If cannot fit, Write * Pls. see attachment. Then, provide a piece of paper and write * Attachment (name of form then Q. 2 for example). Do not abbreviate anything on the form. Other people might not understand. Goodluck! :thumbs:

04/26/2010 - Met in Philippines (for 2 weeks)

05/08/2010 - Officially engaged!! ( He sent the engagement ring 09/24/2010 and he proposed to me on bended knee in Philippines with the second part of engagement ring) *melting*

06/18/2010 - I-129F package Sent

06/21/2010 - NOA1

06/24/2010 - Touched

09/23/2010 - Touched (when I contacted the Congressman's office)

11/15/2010 - Touched (hopefully the approval)

11/17/2010 - NOA2 (Received hard copy 11/22/2010)

12/01/2010 - Received a letter from DOS dated 11/29/2010 stating that the petition will be forwared to USE AD within a week and that I will received the packets very soon from embassy.

01/18/2011 - Interview. APPROVED!!! No words can express how happy i am.

01/25/2011 - VISA in hand! YAY!!!

02/20/2011 - POE Chicago (O'hare)

05/14/2011 - Our Wedding day

I printed mine out and wrote it in by hand when it did not fit in a line.

as a regular person I had NO clue that ROI is Ireland... I doubt someone at USCIS will know what ROI is for.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

There's a site the poster can use.. why wouldn't someone at USCIS unable to understand abbreviations..? I'm sure they see it every singe solitary day.

You are right...but the thing is the USCIS personnel are loaded with works. I have read somewhere that someone got an RFE for filling out an abbreviation.

I agree with what some of the others have posted. Don't abbreviate if you can help it. If you have to, write it in with a black pen, or if it requires a lot of writing (such as the question about meeting) then fill out an attachment form.

Someone got a rejection notice for using an abbreviation. It's better to be safe. I agree with Twocats :thumbs:
