Does a Joint Sponsor need a Bank Letter?

Hey Everyone!!

My husband is not working right now, so I am going to need a Joint Sponsor. My question is; Does the Joint Sponsor need a Bank Letter in addition to the latest Federal income tax return and w-2?

Bank letter is only needed if using the bank account as an asset.

If income is sufficient then it is suggested to provide, (Copy of IRS return or transcripts, Recent pays-stubs, and employer letter)

no, not unless they are using their bank account as part of their assets.

If the sponsor can not meet the 125% poverty guidelines of his income then, He/She might need it to back-up the lacking amount.

If the sponsor can not meet the 125% poverty guidelines of his income then, He/She might need it to back-up the lacking amount.

And in this case asset = 1/5 income. So an income shortfall of 1000 would need 5000 in assets.
