I am new to this place and the forums in general. I am starting to fill the paperwork out now and plan to file within the month. So, I guess I will be here for the next 5-7 months. Thanks and I look forward to reading the experiences of everyone here. The process is a little overwhelming.

1/28/11 Sent package to Texas
2/03/11 NOA1 received and file is at the Vermont Center.Case number assigned.
6/10/11 NOA2 received.Approved!!!
6/13/11 Hard copy of NOA2 received.
6/28/11 NVC case number received. Case sent to Paris.
7/18/2011 Packet 3 sent out
7/20/11 Packet 3 returned by certified mail
8/31/11 Interview (Approved with two pieces of paper needed)
9/29/11 Visa received.
10/03/11 POE Cincinnati (Thanks to Delta now Atlanta) 5 hours to pick her up is worth it.
10/15/11 Married
10/21/11 AOS documents filed
11/25/11 Biometrics appointment
11/18/11 transferred to CSC
12/24/11 EAD and Advance Parole combo card arrived.
03/13/12 Green card notice received. Welcome to the US. Take a deep breath for a few moments.

Did you submit the form for e-mail notification?

If you did, I think you can expect something either Sunday or Monday. (Not sure if the Monday holiday will slow that down or not.) At least, that's how long it took for BenjAshley to get theirs and us to get ours for arrivals Thursday and Wednesday of last week respectively.

Yes, we sent the e-mail notification form. =) Thought we had a green paper come back with the first rejection saying that we should place that sheet as a cover to receive "special atention". Let's hope that speeds things up a little. If not, monday or tuesday is not that bad :thumbs:

I had wondered about that, whether to put the E-mail notification form right at the beginning even in front of the cover page. And that's what we did :)

Another January filer here... after weeks and weeks of waiting for the papers Janeth was sending me back signed, I sent our packet out yesterday, January 11th, and it arrived today at the TSC today at 12:37 PM. And now... we wait. I'm just VERY relieved to finally have gotten the ball rolling!

Our visa journey

December 5th, 2009: Janeth and I meet online

January 3rd, 2011: Our one year anniversary as a couple!

January 11th, 2011: I-129f packet mailed out to USCIS Dallas Lockbox

January 12th, 2011: Packet arrives in Dallas

January 18th, 2011: $340 check cashed by USCIS

May 16th, 2011: NOA2 notice received via text message / on USCIS website!

May 20th, 2011: Paper copy of NOA2 received in the mail

May 24th, 2011: Application forwarded from NVC to U.S. Embassy in Bogota

July 29th, 2011: K-1 visa approved by U.S. Embassy in Bogota!!!

I went to Dominican Republic 05/17/2010-05/26/2010

I-129f sent- 01/04/2011

Package received- 01/11/2011 signed by D. Sawyers

E-mail confirmation of NOA1-1/17/2011 at 11:17pm. Sent to CSC

Hardcopy NOA1 recieved 1/22/11 Notice date 1/11/11

Checked online status 1/27/11 Post Decision Activity I129f Approved in 16 days

Called NVC and received new case number and will be sent to Dominican Republic.

Called DOS and got our interview date---March 2nd @6am

FEb 28th-Arrived in DR

MArch 2-1st interview 10 hour day!

MArch 3-2nd interview-Sad, sad day we got denied 221g

March 5th-Flew back hmoe without my love

Plan to go to DR this summer with my kids and my mom to get married and file I-130
