See that's what I am talking about, 2 of the lawyers I went told me that they send the money back, if the visa is not available.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying you are wrong, but as said before I'm getting crazy because everyone tells me a different story. And to be honest I don't trust immigration lawyers.

I checked the visa bulletin, I just got disappointed, I thought the USCIS times were "right"

Damn it seems like in US once you hit 21 you are no longer son LOL!

Right, and lawyers will also be the ones to refund you their fee for sending the AOS for nothing, correct? Look, most lawyers will say whatever you want to hear - it does not mean what they tell you is the truth.

You should've asked those two lawyers to get you the info in writing as a guarantee that you'll get the money back as they say - they wouldn't do it as it's not true.

You need to know USCIS times may be correct but you're waiting on NVC that has its own timeline for each category - thus, the visa bulletin dates.

You are correct.

If a mother desires to have her minor son joining her in the US, it's because they see him as a "child" (of some sort). Once the former child turns 21 or gets married, he really is an adult. This totally changes the game indeed.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

What USCIS does is process the petition within 5 months approves it and sends it off to NVC where Department of State places it in COLD-STORAGE until the priority date is reached, or visa numbers become available to assign, at this time this is 8 years or so.

An approved petition does not generate a visa number, it just means Homeland Security (USCIS) has no problem with the case, however Homeland security does not issue visa numbers, Department of State does..

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
