Hi there!

we're worried... It's been 2 months since we sent I-295F to TX. No email/text message/NOA1 hardcopy is received so far. Got the name of the person who signed our package from the courier and called the 800 number. They said they needed to check. We called back again after some time, But still couldn't get any confirmation so far. The check has not been cashed either. What should we do?? Anyone outthere was in this situation before???

Thanks in advance!!

P.S. we filed the petition ourselves. Would it be the reason? Did all of you file the petitions through lawyers?

Hi, we had a similar problem.

We phoned and emailed countless times and they just kept telling us we had to wait and that they had no record of our file.

They eventually rejected the whole thing because the cheque was in a seperate envelope which they did not open.

Inside the returned package was our NAO1 and case number which we never recieved, so it proved we were in the system.

We have had to re-file and have lost our original file date.

My only advice is to keep phoning and ask for a higher authority.

Good luck

By the way, Don&Julie, How long did it take for you to receive the returned package? Did they send it back by regular postal service? Just think that we should have got it if our application was rejected. It's been over 2 months after all....

Thanks!

Just starting this long process can be frustrating.

While waiting I would advise studying all you can here: http://candleforlove.com That consulate tosses the "Non-Bonafide relationship" excuse often when denying K-1's

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Did they cash your check? If they did then you should be in the system.

Our package was returned. They said the application fee was just changed when they got it, so that it could not be processed. We sent it in Nov,2010!

We should go live in a country where if the two love each other they could be with eath other without having to go through this...

Edit: I see you just got your application back. How stupid that it took two months to return it!!!

---

If it were me and my check wasn't cashed, I would stop payment on the old check and send in a new application with check. I would stop payment on the first check to reduce the possibility of two petitions in the system.

I feel really bad for you! Keep your stick on the ice!
