I am an american citizen, and have been living most of my life outside the U.S.A., including now. As i have to relocate back to the u.s.a. for job reasons we are applying for the k-1 visa. I was reading about the primary evidence proving our relationship and wanted to ask what kind of evidence should i submit in a situation in which me and my fiancée are living together and have not traveled any where outside of our foreign country (which means we do not have boarding passes, airline tickets or any other of these evidence. of course we do have evidence for our shared home. if any one has any tips on what is the best thing to show we would appreciate any info.

Thanx

Sorry I dont have any wonderful insights into the evidence thing, I just wanted to comment.

You should compare the advantages and disadvantages of fiancee visa to visas for people

that are already married. You seem to be in the unusual situation that you are already living

with you fiance. My understanding is that it used to be faster to come on a fiance visa but that

has changed. I think.

I'd say for just a minute forget about the visa thing and decide where you would like to get married.

If you didnt realy want to get married but are only doing it so she can come with you to the states,

then the fiance visa only buys you 90 xtra days of freedom.

Im just saying consider your options.

If I'm writing something wrong correct me. Well let's go party, where exactly are you living? where if you are currently living for work and have a visa voc6e for you and your bride is a resident of that country, you guys could get married where you are and apply for a visa k3 their process could be faster for reasons of you are living in the same country and we are together at a time for work and you will have to return to their country of origin. If better informed the consulate of the country where you currently reside.

Good Luck

the primary requirement of the k1 petition is that you have met/seen each other personally w/in the last 2 yrs prior to application, so pictures are the main thing, and then as you said evidence of your shared home. maybe different forms of communication you two used (ex. birthday cards, texts) have these printed out. =)

good luck and god bless!

the primary evidence for proof tht u n ur fiancee have met within last 2 years :

the best one : passport pages with visa stamps on it (visa from your fiancee's country)

pictures are secondary evidence

we got RFE for this, so u better prepare and u will not get a rfe :)

since u said u both living together, your shared home will be a good evidence, and also if u have any bill with both of your name on it, find any docs or proof showing both of your name in a same place

If you have been living in your fiancee's country for 6 months or more, it would be faster, cheaper and easier to get married there and file for an CR-1 at the consulate in that country. Often called the "DCF".

That said, the answer to your question for the K-1 is simply to provide a few photos of you together and some evidence that you both reside or are present in the same country. You only need to "prove" that you have met, in person, at least ONE time in the two years prior to filing. And the level of proof required falls into the "plausible evidence" category. It should not be a challenge to prove this for someone living together.
