ssn and greencard

I arrived here in the states on the 25th of november on an F2B visa. My question is how do I get my social security number and greencard? How long do I have to wait?

btw, on the DS-230 form I answered YES to the following question:

"Do you want the Social Security Administration to assign you an SSN (and issue a card) or issue you a new card (if you have an SSN)? You must answer "Yes" to this question and to the "Consent To Disclosure" in order to receive an SSN and/or card."

My mom got her SS card 9 days after arrival and got her green card 12 days after arrival. Is there a way you can share your timeline . i just wanted to know as my brothers are the on the same category F2B.

If for some reason your SSN doesnt show up after a couple of weeks I would suggest going down to the SSN office and applying in person.

If you answer "Yes" to DS-230, just wait for your SSN on the mail.

Usually, it takes 1-2 weeks before you receive the SSN.

As for the GC, it takes about a month or 2.

You can use your immigrant visa on your passport as temporary alternatives to your GC.

yes 10 days after arriving through mail. i didn't have to go the SS office.
