A Brazilian healer named John of God appeared on the Oprah show Thursday. The man who is claims he can perform miracles, has everyone buzzing.

John of God is a simple farmer who lives in a small community in Brazil. Some believe that John has the power to heal and cure cancer, arthritis, depression, as well as many other ailments.

While it appears that many, including Oprah believe in miracles, is this just too much to believe?

Perhaps the most amazing thing about John of God, is his ability to perform surgery with no medical training or tools. According to Thaindian, John of God has removed tumors as well has performing other surgical procedures, however he does not sterilize his tools, or use any form of anesthesia. However, none of his “patients” have ever complained of an infection!

John of God has been accused of impropriety, but maintains that none of his “miracles” are for his own benefit, crediting God for everything that he does. In fact John of God doesn’t charge the people who visit the healing center in his town at all. Do you believe in miracles?
