Everyone around here is supposed to fit into a box, conservative or liberal and you can't in any way have ideas from both sides at once!

I think this issue should be bipartisan. I wouldn't not fly because of this, and there is anonymity between us and the person seeing the actual scans(I read they are in a different room)but I think they need to increase technology in the scans to avoid showing a body's shape. With NASA sending rovers to Mars and all the other incredible things that have been done, why can't they make better security measures that don't involve people worrying about their bodies showing up on a screen. If Bush was President at the moment, would more people be protesting this? Sorry, but I think so.

To me, the real issue is the radiation from the machines. I don't care about the images (my body shape won't stand out from tens of thousands of others) nor do I care about someone brushing up against my balls (my balls feel just like everyone elses, or so I imagine and hope).

You're probably right. I remember the idea of someone listening in on my phone conversation seeming like such an invasion, but somehow the idea of a very up close and personal body examination is not bothering me.

What I saw on an interview a bit ago...they're looking into the next generation of body scanners that show a stick figure on the screen instead of a body image. The stick figure highlights the areas you should be looking at.
