The fact being that illegal immigrants are humiliated, and especially the attacks against them are taking away their dignity. Taking away human dignity is a fundamental premise to legitimizing and normalizing alienation towards immigrants. I still believe that there is to a certain extent racial profiling among individuals. We live in a world where racial profiling is still active, not just for the result of the Arizona Immigration Law.

Mexico has pretty much the same rules and regulations as was proposed in Arizona.

Pot calling the kettle black?

So do most other countries, US is the odd one out.

Mexico has pretty much the same rules as Arizona? I'm sorry, but no country's "rules" if you so call them, are near the same as any country. This is why we have Presidents, dictators, world leaders, etc... to set these rules which makes a country a country. It is a diverse place that is different in its own way from the ones bordering it. The United States rules are far more pristine than those of Mexico.

The Arizona law doesn't allow racial profiling at all. The federal government even agrees. the only reason why that comes up is because the liberal media makes it up to make people mad and be against the law. Even though its incorrect information. If you read the law, you see that it clearly states that a person has to be pulled over or cited for doing something illegal before the officer can ask any questions about citizenship.

I agree with this statement. Police officers are not allowed to question someone immediately without cause. In addition there are so many illegals in Arizona, over 400,000. All police officers would be doing is citing illegal aliens because there are so many. I'm sure it is not hard to find a cause to question the status of someone in Arizona.

of course there is racial profiling in today's world. it will always exist. can't wait until the world is a perfect place to enact what is right.

I agree. Racial profiling will never end. We do create laws though that don't let people act off of racial profiling though. Illegal immigrants should be humiliated already that they would come over here looking for a better life but doing it against the law of this country. If they worry about being humiliated and lose their dignity, then just get a visa and come here legally. Then they don't have to worry about that.
