Hello all.

We just signed up on visajourney even we have been to research it for the last 6 months.

We are looking to submit our k1 visa packet when we return home from holiday together in holland.

He=USC She=beneficiary (Romania)

He received his passport stamp when flying in from USA to Amsterdam. She did not as it was explained is a partner EU country and did not warrant a stamp. As we have researched more EU to EU travel only gets passport stamps sometimes. We are worried that since the "passport stamp" is one of the primary pieces of evidence to put us together for purposes of having met in the last 2 years that we need to remedy this situation.

So we were wondering is this common?

What should we do to get more proof (in addition to receipts, photos, boarding passes, itineraries)?

Is there a place to go get a stamp since she did not receive one?

We were thinking of getting a document notarized here that we both will sign in holland to show we were same place same time.....any suggestions would be of great assistance. Thank you

We will send the following documents with K1:

I-129F cover letter

-Copy of check for $455

-I-129F

-I-129F Supplement B: Question 18: Explanation on having met in person

-G-325A Petitioner

-G-325A Petitioner passport photo

-G-325A Beneficiary

-G-325A Beneficiary Passport photo

-G-325A Copy of all passport pages for both beneficiary and petitioner)

-Copy of beneficiary romanian visa

-Birth Certificate (petitioner and beneficiary)

-Letter certifying intent to marry within 90 days of arrival (petitioner and beneficiary)

-Proof of ongoing relationship (printed out emails (20), phone bills (petitioner and beneficiary), chat logs (20))

-Proof of having met in person within last two years (petitioner passport stamp, copy of all passport pages for both, boarding passes, iteneraries, photos (10), hotel receipt with both names, other receipts from holliday)

Is there anything we are missing to submit? Does this appear to be a complete packet. We completely understand it is much more wise to err on the side of more information than less so we want to make sure we can avoid any RFE's if at all possible. Any help would be so much appreciated. Thank you & best of luck to all.

If the USC has a stamp, then that is proof they were there. If the beneficiary has a boarding pass, then that also is proof they were there. If you both have receipts and boarding passes and photos and other stuff, then that all together is the proof they desire. Sounds like you'll be fine. Itineraries are useless but boarding passes are good.

Consider taking some pictures with things specific for Holland. Such as the sign when you get it Amsterdam or something. That could also help, though photos are considered secondary evidence, some of them taken the right way could show so much information about both of you being in the same place at the same time.

I'm thinking your package looks good. You've frontloaded your petition almost as we did too, though Bucharest has an easy Consulate. You should be ok. You cannot get that passport stamp for her because it's like you traveling to Canada. :D Those are the rules and we don't receive stamps in passport, we can travel freely in EU, but you can think of another ways to prove she was there with you. Photos could be an option... Also, you need to write the location and the date on the back of each photo. I don't know what else to advise you.

Good luck!!

How is she getting to she getting to Holland? Is she driving or taking the train? If she takes the train then train tickets would show she's there at the same time as you.

I am confused now, you have to send a copy from the birth certificate of the non US- citizen as well? I thought just from the US citizen.

"Wait for the person who pursues you, the one who will make an ordinary moment seem magical, the kind of person who brings out the best in you and makes you want to be a better person; wait for the person who will be your best friend, the person who will drop everything to be with you at anytime no matter the circumstances, wait for the person who makes you smile like no one else does and when they smile you know they need you. Wait for the person who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats and a t-shirt, but appreciates it when you dress up for them. And most of all wait for the person who will put you at the center of their universe because that's where you belong."

Yes, weird. That's not required. It's only needed at the Consulate. :)
