It has been more than 3 weeks since I received the yellow letter telling me to bring my drivers license.

I haven't received the interview letter yet. Is this a normal time frame? If not... what to do?

I have tried to call the USCIS but that wasn't very helpful either. They just tell you whatever is on your case status. I already knew that.

Is there a way to find out what my status really is?

It all depends on your local office and how busy they are, and what their process is (never heard of a 'yellow letter' until reading your post). But it sounds to me like your local office has your case (assuming the 'yellow letter' is from that office) - meaning you're eligible for an interview. They just have to find a slot of time to conduct the interview.

Hi CVB,

It looks like a normal time frame to me - I remember I received my yellow letter about 5 weeks prior to the interview letter. But this was last year and it was the Atlanta Field Office.

You can check with the timelines of people who filed in the same month you did - that gives you sort of a comparison.

Don't worry - you'll receive your Interview letter soon.

I know the feeling, though ... ;) Every day of wait seems like an eternity.

Good luck for the last step of your immigration journey! :star:

That's why I ask... there is somebody at the same office in Newark, NJ that filed later and already has his interview scheduled. Very frustrating, especially because there is hardly a way to find out what's going on.

I agree on the eternity thing.... drives me crazy, LOL. Thanks for the support.
