The USCIS provides two different addresses which I could mail my petition to. Why two?!?!? Does one have advantages over the other?

The address below, which is an actual physical address, I pass it every day during my commute - couldn't I just stop by and hand it to someone?

FedEx and UPS don't really like PO Boxes which is the reason for the second address. Given how long the entire process is, your not really saving anything buy picking one over the other.

I'd say just send it to the first adress. being you are close by, it should arrive same day or next day. I am pretty sure you'd need an appointment to go to the actual office, which would probably take alot longer than mailing the petition.

Sending this again, since VisaJourney sent the initial one to Wonderland...

Thanks to those who answered! A follow up question to this, does the address on the Letter of Intent to Marry really matter? You know, since everything will be in one packet addressed to one of the addresses above. In the sample letter, it shows that we need to put a "Service Center Address". Well, I have been going in circles on the USCIS website trying to find the TEXAS Service Center address - can't find it. And my fiancee already sent me her letter - it's a beautiful letter, but addressed to some PO Box in Mesqite, TX. Will this be an issue and they send it back, OR will it not matter as long as we say we intend to marry within 90 days?
